AUSTINTOWN - Services will be held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Charlotte A. Loncar Lefler, 73, who died Monday, Nov. 26, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Charlotte was born April 6, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of Phineas and Elizabeth Nallon Jones.
After attending Chaney High School, she continued her education at Youngstown State University, earning her Bachelors degree, and later earning her Masters degree from the University of Akron. After earning her credentials as a Certified Counselor and Social Worker, she had worked as a Crisis Counselor at Valley Counseling Services in Youngstown. After relocating she worked as a family therapist in Harris County, Texas. She returned to this area in 1993, working as a volunteer for Hospice of the Valley.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Jeanine M. Loncar Rick Jarrell of Huntsville, Ala.; two sons, Michael T. of Youngstown and Randy P. Patricia Loncar of Canfield; four grandchildren, Lauren and Macy Loncar and Rachael and Matthew Jarrell; and a sister, Betty A. Kenny Hatfield of Austintown.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to either the American Cancer Society or Hospice of the Valley in Charlotte's memory.
