Cheryl Taylor

January 5, 1944 — July 21, 2015

CANFIELD - A funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Canfield United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Susan Brown, for Mrs. Cheryl L. Taylor, who died Tuesday at Parkside Health Care Center.

Cheryl was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Youngstown, a daughter of Lester and Edna Sloss Sprouse.

She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Choffin, where she received her LPN.

Cheryl was an LPN for over 41 years, working at South Side Hospital and then at Park Vista for 26 years.

She was an avid shopper, but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her grandson, Thomas, who was the apple of her eye.

Cheryl leaves her loving husband, Gerald "Jerry" Taylor, whom she married July 8, 1966; sister Cindy Lombardo of Youngstown; son-in-law Mark Olin; grandson Thomas Olin; niece Kelly (Brian) Wooley; and great-niece and great-nephew Grace and Grant Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Suzanne Olin.

Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and on Friday from 10 to 10:50 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions maybe made in memory of Cheryl to the church.

Cheryl's family would like to thank the staff at Parkside Health Care Center for their loving compassion and care.
