YOUNGSTOWN - Services will be Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown for Chris A. Cipriano age 74 of Poland who died Thursday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center after a one week illness.
Cris was born April 9, 1930, the son of Christy A. and Katherine Zvara Cipriano.
He began working at Valley Industrial Trucks in 1954, eventually becoming the Owner, and serving as President for 19 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Paul Church, was a 3rd Degree member of Youngstown K of C Council # 274, a 4th Degree member and past Grand Knight of the Bishop Malone K of C Assembly # 826 in Youngstown, and the Boardman Eagles. Chris was an avid golfer, and a member of the Salem Hills Country Club, a former member of Fonderlac Country Club, and a member of the Boulevard Golf League. He served on the Board of Directors of MASCO for 3 years, and was also inducted into the South Range High School Football Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his bride of 53 years, the former Mary Ann Everly whom he married April 7, 1951, a daughter Patty and husband Bill Congleton of Colchester, VT, three son Chris and his wife Valerie Cipriano of Houston, TX, James Cipriano of Poland, and John Cipriano of New York City, a sister Rosemarie and her husband Ed Connors of Boardman, a brother Harry and his wife Helen Cipriano of Clarksdale, AZ, a granddaughter, Jennifer Cipriano of Humble, TX, two grandsons, George Prelock of Scottsdale, AZ, and Christopher Cipriano of Humble, TX, and a great grandson, Ethan Cipriano of Humble, TX.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Diane Marie, and a son David.
Friends may call from 4 PM to 8 PM Sunday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM Monday morning at St. Paul the Apostle Church.
