Clarita Raupple

BOARDMAN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, for Clarita R. Raupple, 96, who died early Thursday morning at home surrounded by her family.
Clarita was born Sept. 13, 1921, in Youngstown, the daughter of Edward J. and Margaret (Kronauer) Harbison.
She was a graduate of South High School and worked as a long distance supervisor at Bell Telephone for many years. Clarita was a long time member of the Ridgewood Garden Club and St. Elizabeth's Medical Auxiliary. She was also a lifetime member of the Century Club with the Ursuline Sisters.
Clarita greatly supported Hospice of the Valley and contributed to the capital campaign which helped to build the Hospice House. Clarita volunteered at Meals on Wheels in her spare time. Clarita enjoyed oil painting, crocheting, playing bridge, and ballroom dancing with her husband.
Clarita's husband, Dr. M. Carl Raupple, whom she married June 9, 1945, died Sept. 3, 1985.
She is survived by three daughters, Sr. Norma Raupple of Canfield, Susan (Dr. Ronald) Law of Denver, and Linda Raupple of Boardman; son Dr. Martin Raupple of Canfield; sister Elizabeth Donnelly of Bethel Park, Pa.; brother Norman Harbison of Columbiana; nine grandchildren, Sharon Woods, Amy Conti, Martin Raupple, Jeffrey Raupple, Michael Law, Kristen Lederhos, David Law, Daniel Jacobsen, and Katherine Jutila; and 14 great-grandchildren, Ryan, Jessica and Joey Woods, Andrew, Ashley and Emma Conti, Stella and Marty Raupple, Conner Raupple, Lochlan and Boden Law, and Kate, Ryan and Johnny Lederhos.
Clarita was also preceded in death by her parents; son James Raupple; brothers Joseph and William Harbison; and daughter-in-law Barbara Kleeh Raupple.
Family and friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and Tuesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, 4250 Shields Rd. Canfield, OH 44406 or to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Boardman, OH 44512.
