MINERAL RIDGE - Private services were held for Colleen Farnbauer, 77, who died Friday afternoon at Vista Care at the Ridge.
Colleen was born April 20, 1939, in Youngstown, the daughter of Clarence and Marjorie (Smith) McGowan.
She was a former member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
Colleen's husband, James Farnbauer, whom she married Aug. 24, 1957, died Dec. 14, 2004.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine E. (James) Sheridan of Girard; sister Patricia Cook of Austintown; four grandsons, Ryan, Corey, Shaun and James Sheridan; and five great-grandchildren.
Colleen was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Daniel McGowan.
The family wishes that material tributes take the form of donations to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
