Concetta Pachell

AUSTINTOWN - Prayers will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Concetta "Connie" E. (DeLuca) Pachell, 82, who passed away Sunday evening, Dec. 17, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
She was born to the late Anthony and Teresa (D'Alitto) DeLuca on Nov. 19, 1935, in Youngstown.
Connie graduated from The Rayen School and worked at Austin Woods Nursing Home in the central supply department. Along with being a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, she was also a member of The Red Hat Society, American Legion Lake Post 737 in Lake Milton, the Senior Citizens of Austintown, F.O.E 213, and the VFW Post 9571 of Ellsworth.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Connie leaves her husband of 61 years, Richard J. Pachell Sr., whom she married May 5, 1956; daughter Theresa (Glenn) Carroll of Norristown, Pa.; two sons, Richard J. Pachell Jr. of Austintown, with whom she made her home, and Nicholas (Toni) Pachell of Austintown; four grandchildren, Bryan Carroll, Christine Pachell, Andrea (Frank) LoRiggio, and Nicholas (Abbey) Pachell Jr.; great-granddaughter Nova Elizabeth Pachell; sister Mary Potesta of Youngstown; brother, Fred DeLuca Sr. of Liberty; sisters-in-law Irma DeLuca and Geri DeLuca; brothers-in-law Anthony Cocca and Samuel (Nancy) Pachell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her two sisters, Yolanda Cocca (twin) and Stella Bernard; and three brothers, Louis, Frank and Anthony DeLuca.
Family and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
