POLAND - Connie F. Davis, 90, peacefully passed away on February 17, 2025, at Hospice House in Poland, OH.
She was born on October 4, 1934, in Youngstown, OH, to the late Louis and Lucy Fossaceca.
Connie dedicated much of her life to her family and her faith. Connie’s career exemplified her nurturing spirit. Over the span of approximately 20 years, she served as a devoted nanny for two families, providing love and guidance to the children in her care. Her passion for dance led her to become a dance teacher, which is where she met her beloved husband, Ronald. Together, they built a family grounded in love and companionship.
Connie was known for her phenomenal culinary skills. Her family’s favorites included her eggplant parmesan, sauce, and homemade meatballs. She was a proud graduate of South High School, Class of 1953. Connie displayed a vivacious personality and a raw sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. She remained active throughout her life, enjoying walking, exercising, and taking bus trips to casinos. She also shared a love for animals, specifically her beloved beagles and cats.
Connie was also deeply committed to her church and actively participated in various activities, forming lasting friendships with many members of her faith community.
Connie is survived by her daughters Denise (Bob) Winland, Joyce (Bob) Schmid, and Kelly Thomas. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Maggie Hooley, Kortney Zoelle, Katy Haybarger, Kyle Thomas, Lizzie Heslin, and Bobby Schmid, as well as two great-grandsons, six great-granddaughters, and baby Zoelle coming in August. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Davis, her parents Louis and Lucy Fossaceca (Marion), her sister Theresa Andio, her brother Frank Fossaceca, and her son-in-law Kevin Thomas.
Visitation for Connie will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Angela Merici, located at 397 S Jackson St, Youngstown, OH 44506. A Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Connie’s warmth, humor, and boundless love will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
