Cynthia Magallon

October 18, 1955 — January 5, 2018

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Cynthia Louise Ritchie Cirelli Magallon, 62, who died Jan. 5, 2018, after a battle with cancer.

Cindy was born on Oct. 18, 1955, to Alberta Ritchie Godinich and Orville Ritchie of Columbiana. She also had a wonderful stepfather, Nick Godinich of Greenville, Pa.

She graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1974. During high school, she was very active in the Jesus People movement, starting a Bible study group called The Door, which met twice weekly at her parents' house and went on for 13 years.

Pastor Cindy had a Christian radio program called "Thy Word", published a monthly newsletter, and spoke throughout Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, as well as Cleveland. Many who attended her ministry over the years became ordained and started ministries of their own.

Cindy was ordained into the ministry in 1978. She was part of the Kathryn Kuhlman and David Verzilli ministries. She was a member of the Highway Tabernacle and the Christian Assembly churches.

She was the owner and operator of Just Married Weddings, performing hundreds of weddings throughout Ohio. She also graduated from Choffin Career Center with a License in Practical Nursing.

She was employed for almost 40 years, first in labor and delivery at St. Elizabeth in downtown Youngstown and then completing her career at Humility House in Austintown. Besides teaching from the Bible, she also truly loved being a nurse.

Cindy always felt that her life was blessed.

She enjoyed a wonderful 34-year marriage to her first love, Leonard Cirelli, until his passing in 2011. They had precious twin boys, David Leonard and Michael Leonard. Cindy loved her sons more than anything else in life.

In 2014, Cindy married Raphael Magallon from Las Vegas. He became the second love of her life, as well as her devoted caregiver. They shared their belief and faith in the Lord Jesus and enjoyed a very happy marriage.

Sheryl (Tim) Luman of Mineral Ridge, Myrna (Rodney) Scales of Greenville, Pa., and Rosanna Agostinelli of North Lima are her loving sisters. Her extended family includes nephew Michael Scarnecchia, as well as her Cirelli and Magallon sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Many family members and friends helped with her radiation and chemotherapy appointments, especially her sister Sheryl and her close friends Norene Donnaurmmo and Robin Ebert.

Her personal caregiver was Rosa Rendon.

She also wanted the radiation team of Boardman and the chemotherapy team at St. Elizabeth in Youngstown recognized for their encouragement and kindness during her treatments, especially Diane Pompoco, R.N.

Cindy loved people. Her life was devoted to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed reading, emailing, writing stories, camping and making jewelry. Most of all, she loved the Lord, Jesus Christ with all of her heart.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Material tributes may take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Youngstown, OH 44512.
