Dana Anne Overman

YOUNGSTOWN - Dana Anne Overman, age 69, of Youngstown, died peacefully holding her sister’s hand on August 29, 2024 at Hospice House of Youngstown.

She was born on April 20, 1955, in DuBois, Pennsylvania, a daughter of John andDorothe (Davis) Overman.

Dana graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and from Youngstown StateUniversity with an Associate’s Degree in Pre-Kindergarten Education. She was employed for many years at YWCA Discovery Place as a preschool teacher, and she worked for nine and a half years at Home Instead Senior Care as a personal caregiver. Dana had tremendous caring and empathy for the elderly.

She will be sadly missed by her sister, Barbara (Larry) Bartos of Poland, herbrother, David (Brenda) Overman of Conneautville, Pennsylvania; her nephews, William(Andrea) Bartos of Massillon, Andrew (Alana) Bartos of Westerville, Connor (Ashley)Overman of Norfolk, Virginia, and her niece, Shelby (Adrian) Babel of Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Overman.

In accordance with Dana’s wishes, there were no calling hours or services. Herfamily will celebrate her life privately, and they would like to thank the “angels” atHospice House who cared for her in her final days.
