POLAND - Services will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at the Poland Presbyterian Church for Daniel Borcheck age 62 of Poland, formerly of PA who passed away February 21st at the Hospice House in Beaver Twp., Ohio after a long and courageous battle with A.L.S.
Daniel was born October 7, 1944 in Clarksville, PA, the son of Lotsy and Ruth Boyd Borcheck.
He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving aboard the Aircraft Carrier, U.S.S. America as an aviation administrator. He had worked at the National Annealing Box Company in Washington, PA as a sales representative, he later worked as the sales manager of S.P. Kinney Engineers in Carnegie, PA for six years, and retired this past year after 18 years of service as a senior vice president from the Columbiana Boiler Company in Columbiana, Ohio.
He moved to Poland in 1991, and was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed golf and was an avid Steelers fan, but most of all enjoyed watching his son Jeremy play baseball and football.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, the former Donna Gillis whom he married December 12, 1964, a son Jeremy Borcheck at home, three sisters, Karen Andy Olson of Windam, Susan Ron Gullion of Bramwell, WV, and Vicki Ralph Pinkney of Meadowlands, PA, and a brother Fred Karen Borcheck of Connellsville, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lotsy and Ruth Borcheck.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM Saturday at the Poland Presbyterian Church.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley 5190 Market St. Boardman, Ohio 44512.
