Daniel Mccarthy

AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 19, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, for Daniel Patrick McCarthy, who passed away Sunday.

Daniel was born Aug. 5, 1969, in Youngstown, a son of D. Michael and Margaret (Nemeth) McCarthy.

After graduating from Ursuline High School, he continued his education at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in 1991. While at Cincinnati, he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity.

He was the co-owner and president of Industrial Mill Maintenance.

He was a diehard fan of his beloved Cincinnati Bearcats and the Cleveland Browns.

Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy (Popovich) McCarthy, whom he married Oct., 15, 1994; father and stepmother, D. Michael and Katie McCarthy of Ashtabula; two children, Kathryn and Daniel Michael McCarthy; brothers Michael (Cindy) McCarthy of Boardman; Jerry (Julie) McCarthy of Springboro and Patrick (Lisa) McCarthy of Richmond, Va.; stepsiblings, Joey (Meghan) Campana, Tina (Joe) Bengala, and Mandy (Kevin) Diaz.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Margaret McCarthy.

Friends and family may call on Monday, March 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
