AUSTINTOWN ? Prayers will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Darlene E. Pollock Kroll, 55, who passed away Friday afternoon at her home, surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Darlene was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Youngstown, the daughter of George G. and Helen J. Elchuck Pollock.
Darlene was a 1972 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. She was head of the Class Reunion Committee. Darlene was a cake decorator for Giant Eagle Cornersburg for 20 years. She was a member of the cancer support group and the Relay For Life. Darlene enjoyed gardening and spending time in her lovely home with her family.
Darlene leaves her husband, Brian E. Kroll, whom she married, on Sweetest Day, Oct. 17, 1998; a daughter, Kristy Frost, at home; a stepdaughter, Angie Jamie Singerman and her son, Moshe Singerman of Largo, Fla.; a sister, Mary Pollock of Austintown; five brothers, Edward Pollock of Austintown, George Brenda Pollock of Lowellville, Robert Pollock Rose Vocature of Youngstown, Thomas Maureen Pollock of San Leon, Texas and James Pollock of Warren; five sisters-in-law, Maureen Al Barnhart 5of Austintown, Brenda Rick Crawford of Austintown, Sheila Ken Dickinson of Youngstown, Gail Rick Percich of Lordstown and Laura Kroll of Austintown; a brother-in-law, Ralph Kelly Kroll of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews; and two of her closest friends, Joan Cavaliere and Jane Rummell.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father; a sister-in-law, Joan Pollock; mother-in-law, Pat Kroll and father-in-law, Ralph Kroll.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests material tributes take the form of donations to the family in Darlene?s memory.
