David Colbert

POLAND - David E. Colbert, 70, died on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017, at 5 p.m. at Hospice House in Youngstown, surrounded by his loved ones.
David was born on Feb. 13, 1947, in Campbell, a son of the late Orin R. and Martha (Grimm) Colbert.
David was a 1965 graduate of Campbell High School. He worked at Youngstown Sheet and Tube on the blast furnace for 13 years.
In his free time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and working on cars. His most precious memories were spent with his wife, children and grandchildren whom he loved and adored.
He leaves behind his wife of 44 years and best friend, Marta Colbert, whom he married on March 10, 1973; his children, David (Tammy) Colbert of Youngstown, Delores DiGiacomo of Youngstown, and Rhonda (Matthew) McIntire of Coitsville; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Martha Swantek; and two brothers, Jerry and Robert Colbert.
Besides his parents, he was preceded by a brother, George.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 4303 Mahoning Ave., where a memorial service will be begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor Bob Donato celebrating David's life.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donation in care of the funeral home to assist the family at this time.
