David Davis

January 14, 1978 — August 8, 2016

AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services celebrating the life of David John Davis, 38, who passed away unexpectedly Monday evening at his home, will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, with Pastor Fred Schrock as celebrant.

Mr. Davis was born on Jan. 14, 1978, in Youngstown, son of David Davis and Linda Carr. David resided in the Youngstown area his entire life.

He was a graduate of Austintown Fitch High School in 1996, and later attended Youngstown State University studying Business. David was employed as a carpenter by the Carpenter's Union, Local 171 for several years. David's biggest hobby was body building, as he spent much of his free time at the Body Shop in Austintown lifting weights.

He was a loving father to his daughter, Gianna Kohut, and loved animals, especially rescuing those who did not have a home. He was an exceptionally devoted and loving son to his mother, who he always took great care of. His smile and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. David was known to be a very giving person, who was always willing to help anyone who needed it.

David will be sadly missed and remembered by his loving mother, Linda Davis, with whom he made his home; daughter Gianna Kohut of Austintown; sister Stacey Carr-Susor of California; his aunt and uncle, Vivian and Raymond Albrecht of Youngstown; and two nephews, Aiden and Austen Susor.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Vernon and Alma Carr.

Family and friends will be received Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Entombment will take place following the service at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield.
