David Peters

CANFIELD - A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Canfield for David W. Peters age 52 who passed away Monday afternoon at the Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights after a three week illness. David was born September 13, 1955 in Warren, the son of John Glenn and Martha Metro Peters. Mr. Peters graduated from Champion High School in 1973 and later became the president of Lube Management Incorporated which he owns and operates six Lube Stop locations in the Youngstown area. He was a member of the Youngstown Wick Masonic Lodge and the Boardman Optimist Club.
He is survived by his wife the Former Rita Keaty whom he married November 16, 1974, two daughters Theresa Robert Chucksa of Howland and Anna Marie Peters at home, two sons, William Rachel Peters of Boardman, and Timothy Peters at home, four grandchildren Blake, Alexis, John and Robert, his mother Martha Lee Peters of Champion, his grandmother Mary Metro of Warren, a sister, Patricia Ann David Posey of Champion, and a brother Glenn Peters of Saudi Arabia.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by his grandfather George Metro and paternal grandparents Ora and John Peters.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Boardman Optimist Club.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
