David Ramirez

David Eugene "Rico" Ramirez was born on January 29, 1960, in Youngstown, Ohio. His parents were Monserrate Ramirez and Willavene Mary Wasson. A younger brother, Harry, tragically died, when David was 6 years old and his mother when he was 13; which greatly affected his life. He was a graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. David enlisted in the US Army in 1980 as a Tactical Satellite/Microwave Systems Operator, serving at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He married Tammy Kim Henry on December 20, 1980. They had one child, Brian Eugene Ramirez. David was honorably discharged in 1982 and lived in Campbell, Ohio. He died on September 10, 2016, at the age of 56, in Poland, Ohio, of cancer. He was under the care of Hospice of the Valley, of Mahoning County.

David is remembered for his sense of humor and caring heart. He enjoyed spending time with friends; and loved watching basketball and horror movies. He is greatly missed by his siblings, Raymond, Mary Smith, Linda, and Vernie & Dave Kindron. They will always lovingly recall his, "I love you, babe." He is also missed by many friends, cousins, nephews and loved ones. He also leaves behind two granddaughters.

David will be buried with military honors at Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio on March 28, 2017 at 12:00 noon. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
