Youngstown - Services will held Wednesday 11:00AM at Victory Christian Center, Coitsville, for David A. Yambar, 67 who passed away Sunday morning at his residence after a battle with Lou Gehrigs Disease.
He was a lifetime area resident, born June 14, 1938 in Youngstown the son of Andrew and Betty Sherbak Yambar.
He worked with his parents on their farm, Yambar and Sons Pony Farm, where they raised Shetland Ponies and exhibited them at the Canfield Fair. He was employed with Stambaugh Thompson of Boardman, Pittsburgh Plate Glass, American Welding for over 30 years, and at the Sporting Goods Department at the Austintown Wal-Mart. He was a 1957 graduate of Chaney High School and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He earned the Boy Scouts of America highest honor, Eagle Scout, and served his country with the United States Navy.
He leaves his wife, the former Sandra J. Kramer, whom he married May 28, 1982, his children; Christopher Maureen Yambar of Youngstown, Timothy Yambar of Connecticut, Kathleen "Katie" Mark Davis of Austintiown, Sharon Yambar of Youngstown, Christopher Paul Dawn Sekol of Columbus, Beth Ann Joseph Grace of Tallmadge, Michele Renee David Ryan Of Stow, and Michael Joseph Stephany Sekol of Youngstown, 14 grandchildren, a sister, Karen Yambar of Canfield and an Uncle, Ed Sherbak.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Freinds may call from 2 - 4PM and 7 - 9PM Tuesday at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and from 10:00AM until time of services Wednesday morning at the Church.
