POLAND - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, for Deborah Ann Horvath, 59, who died early Wednesday morning at home, surrounded by her family.
Deborah was born Sept. 12, 1955, in Youngstown, to Felix and Melba (Kratzer) Gasior.
She was a 1974 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Deborah received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Youngstown State University in 1995, and worked as a home care nurse for 20 years.
Deborah was a member of St. Nicholas Church. She enjoyed cooking Polish foods, especially stuffed cabbage and pirogies, trips to the casino, shopping for her grandchildren, and most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, to whom she was affectionately known as, "Bubba."
Deborah's beautiful smile will always be remembered and she will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, George Horvath, whom she married Feb. 9, 1974; a daughter, Casey (Mathew) Haus of Struthers; three sons, George (Rosa) Horvath of Palm Bay, Daniel Horvath of Melbourne, and Dr. Mark (Candace) Horvath of Canfield; two sisters, Valaria (Joe) Tauntas of Poland and Bernadette (Robert) McClimans of Youngstown; brothers Edward (Sue) Gasior of Struthers, Thomas (Sherry) Gasior of Tampa and William Gasior of Youngstown; and eight grandchildren, Madison Haus, Andrew Haus, Mark Horvath Jr., Nadia Haus, George Horvath Jr., Nick Horvath, Jackson Horvath and Sophie Horvath.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sharon Stoner and Carolyn Ficke; and her brother, Felix Gasior.
Family and friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of the Valley for all of the care and compassion they showed to Deborah.
