BOARDMAN - Denise Claire Dibble McCloud, 47, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at her home in Boardman, surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle over the past five years with ovarian cancer.
Denise was born in Youngstown on April 2, 1967, the daughter of Raymond and Barbara McKinley Dibble.
She graduated from Canfield High School in 1985 and attended Youngstown State University. During her career, Denise held positions with the corporate offices of TJ Maxx, Phar-Mor, and Mahoning National Bank. She also worked in the Purchasing Department for the County of Mahoning. Earlier in her career, she lived and worked on Hilton Head Island.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas McCloud and their son, Brady Raymond Donald McCloud.
Denise and Tom were married in 2004 on Tybee Island in Georgia.
She enjoyed family gatherings, the beach, and attending the annual Canfield Fair. But more than anything else, Denise enjoyed reading with her beloved son, Brady.
In addition to her parents, Denise is survived by her stepdaughter, Mara McCloud; her sister, Lynne Keeney and her husband, Jim; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffrey Dibble; her sister, Sherryl Rae Hart; and her grandparents, Earl and Stella Dibble Sr. and William and Helen McKinley.
The family will receive friends at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starrs Centre Drive in Canfield, today, Oct. 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday morning, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m., prior to the funeral service, which will be held beginning at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at the funeral home.
A Christian burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
