Dennis Kennedy

July 4, 1928 — January 18, 2024

AUSTINTOWN - Dennis Kennedy, 95, died peacefully Thursday, January 18, 2024 at home.

Dennis was born July 4, 1928, in Youngstown, the son of Patrick and Mary Farmer Kennedy.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and when he returned, Dennis worked at Republic Steel until its closing.

He is survived by his brother, Austin Kennedy of Lake Milton; and several nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his wife, the former Shirley Pennell, whom he married Dec. 23, 1957 and died April 19, 2020; his son, Maurice Kennedy; and several brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank Shanice Watts with Comfort Keepers for her exceptional care and compassion given to Dennis, especially during his final days.

A private graveside service was held with family.
