AUSTINTOWN ? Prayers will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Dian Loeb, 85, who passed away Wednesday morning, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Dian was born Dec. 6, 1924, in Youngstown, the daughter of Leonard and Nora Esposito DiBattista.
Dian graduated from The Rayen School in 1942. She retired from Southside Medical Center in 1987 as a supervisor of the Housekeeping Department. She had previously worked at The Ward Bakery.
Dian was a charter member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She was a longtime active member of the Youngstown Women's Bowling Association. She enjoyed bingo, casinos, crochet, and ceramics. Dian was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians and especially the Cavs.
Dian especially enjoyed being involved in her children and grandchildren?s activities; loved attending most of their sporting, events, baseball, softball, football, cheerleading and soccer.
Her husband, Robert A. Loeb Sr., whom she married Aug. 14, 1954, passed away April 24, 1991.
Dian is survived by three daughters, Jackie Jack McCormick of Dublin, Darlene Tom Sabo of Youngstown and Debbie Randy Blyler of Youngstown; a son, Robert Sherry Loeb Jr. of Youngstown; former daughter-in-law, Evelyn Loeb of Youngstown; seven grandchildren, David, Andrea, Tristan, Leigh-Ann, Nicole, Corey, and Janora; 10 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; two grand Doxies, Cinnamon and Bella; and several nieces and nephews and their children, whom she loved and cherished dearly.
Besides her parents and husband, Dian was preceded in death by three sisters, Victoria, Mary Lou and Philomenia; and a brother, John.
Family and friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
