Diane Kinkade

January 29, 1942 — November 10, 2018

CANFIELD - Diane L. Kinkade, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at Windsor House in Canfield, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Jan. 29, 1942, in Hubbard, to Daniel Lombard and Jessie (Smith) Lombard.

Diane graduated from Boardman High School in 1959 and from Depauw University in 1963. Diane was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.

While at Depauw, she met the love of her life, William G. “Bill” Kinkade, whom she married May 9, 1964. Diane and Bill enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing in 2015.

Diane worked as a probation officer for the Juvenile Courts of Indianapolis, before moving to Chicago, and eventually settling her family in Canfield in 1969.

Diane and Bill co-founded their company, Duo-Corp., in 1977.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Traci (Stephen) DeCapua; her son, Bradley (Amy) Kinkade; and four grandchildren, Morgan and Grant DeCapua, and Sydney and Riley Kinkade. She is also survived by her brother, David (Linda) Lombard; a sister-in-law, Patricia (Michael) Bolin; brother-in-law, Robert Kinkade (Connie Grah); and brother-in-law John (Susan) Kinkade; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Kinkade; parents, Daniel and Jessie Lombard; her brother, Daniel Lombard; Bill’s parents, William and Ella Kinkade; a sister-in-law, Royleen Kinkade; and nephews, Michael Bolin and Anthony Kinkade.

Diane was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and gambling with her close circle of friends.

Diane was active with the Junior Woman’s League of both Canfield and Youngstown, Child and Family Services Board of Youngstown, and Planned Parenthood.

Diane and her family are members of St. Michael Church in Canfield.

Most importantly, Diane and Bill cherished every moment spent with their grandchildren who lovingly called them “Nana” and “Grumpy.” Their home overflowed with love, laughter, and memories that will never leave our hearts.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, Nov. 18, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, at St. Michael, in Canfield, preceded by visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. at St. Michael.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Diane L. Kinkade to the Canfield Library or Hospice of the Valley.
