CANFIELD - A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated by the Rev. Richard Brobst Thursday morning at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown for Dolores Ann Gasser, 91, who died Monday afternoon at Assumption Village.
Dolores was born April 26, 1921, the daughter of Leo Edward and Marie Francis O'Brien Henry.
She was a graduate of East High School and later worked as a secretary at the Clerk of Courts office in Youngstown. After her marriage, she worked as an office manager at her husband's practice Dr. Louis Gasser.
Her husband, Dr. Louis J. Gasser, whom she married Dec. 28, 1946, died May 19, 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Lynn M. (Ronald) Mikolich of Poland and Patricia A. (Richard) Stebelton of Canfield; a son, Louis J. Gasser Jr. of Canfield; a brother, Leo Edward Henry Jr; two grandchildren, Dr. Brandon (Kara) Mikolich of Poland and Dr. Marissa (Andrew) Mickley of Columbus; three great-grandchildren, Galas and Madilynn Mikolich and Michael Mickley; and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary (Henry) Gasser.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the Assumption Village in Dolores's memory.
