POLAND - Prayers will begin Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Dolores Osberg Kreuzwieser, 84, who died Thursday evening at Hampton Woods.
Dolores was born Dolores Ellen Osberg in Struthers on March 7, to parents Florence and Clyde Osberg some 39 and holding years ago.
Dolores grew up in a huge house located in Poland on the corner of Riverside Drive and 170. President McKinley had once lived in the same house. As a young woman, Dee could be seen riding all around Poland and Lowellville with her friends on horseback.
She graduated from Poland High School in 1946, graduated from Youngstown State University and attended the University of Dayton.
Dee Married William Edward Kreuzwieser June 2, 1955. She and her husband loved to fish and hunt together and each year in the Fall, they would drive to Canada for a month to enjoy these sports together. William preceded his wife in death Feb. 7, 2005.
Dee was an elementary school teacher for the Youngstown Parochial School system for over 20 years. She had also worked at U.S. Steel, Youngstown Sheet and Tube in the tabulating department, and was a licensed real estate agent.
She was a member of the Holy Family Church, Ladies of Charity, Company of Angela Ursuline Sisters, Secular Franciscan Order SFO and served as a board member of Addiction Programs of Mahoning County.
She is survived by one niece, two nephews and many close friends, who have been grateful to have been a part of her life.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel.
