CANFIELD - Services will begin Saturday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel and at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church in Canfield for Domenico Angiuli, 65, who passed away Tuesday afternoon at University Hospital in Cleveland from complications from Leukemia.
Domenico was born Oct. 9, 1943 in Bagnoli del Trigno, Italy, the son of Rafaele and Emelia Donofrio Angiuli.
After coming to this country in 1967, he worked as an executive chef at several area restaurants. He along with his wife later became the owner and operators of the Grand View Restaurant in Canfield until his retirement in 2005.
He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Canfield and the Men's Bagnolese Club. He loved working in his garden and had operated his own produce farm in Canfield.
His wife, the former Violet T. Ciarniello, whom he married in 1967, died Aug. 17, 1998.
He is survived by his mother, Emelia of Bagnoli del trigno; a daughter, Carol Paul Schweizer of Rootstown; two sons, Ralph Susan Angiuli of Ellsworth and Robert Angiuli of Canfield; a brother, Mario Rita Angiuli of Canfield; two grand-children, Isaiah Schweizer and Nicholas Dominic Angiuli; his companion, Mary Pulca; and his mother-in-law, Almerinda Ciarniello; and brother-in-law, D. Jack Chryystal Ciarniello of Austintown.
Besides his wife and father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Nicola Angiuli; and his father-in-law, Dominic Ciarniello.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland, OH 44106.
