CANFIELD - There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at noon on Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Canfield for Dominic M. Strollo, 64, who passed away Friday afternoon at the Cleveland Clinic after a valiant battle
with cancer. Dom lived and died with dignity and quiet strength.
Dom was born July 1, 1941 in Youngstown, the son of Dominic and Mary Cavallo Strollo.
He was a graduate of the Case Institute of Technology, where he received his bachelor¹s degree in metallurgical engineering. He had also completed graduate studies in financial accounting at Youngstown State University, financial modeling at the Wharton School, productivity and executive
management at Tennessee University and strategic decision analysis at
Stanford University. He began his professional career at RMI in Niles, where he had become vice
president of marketing, sales, technology and planning. He then became part owner and CEO of Astro Metallurgical in Wooster and was currently a process engineer at Sovereign Circuits in North Jackson until the time of his
illness. Dom was a member of St. Michael Church and enjoyed traveling to Florida, tennis and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, the former Marlene Menaldi, whom he married May 2, 1964; two daughters, Karin Michael Hudock of Canfield and Kimberly Strollo of Naples, Florida.; two sons, Dominic Shiela Strollo of South
Fort Myers, Florida and David Strollo of Naples, Florida; two grandchildren, Alexis and Brandon Hudock; a brother, Dante of Campbell; and several nieces
and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, and from 11 to 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Church.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to either St. Michael¹s Family Life Center building fund or the Horvitz Center for Palliative Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic.
