AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Mr. Donald G. Bolchalk, 82, of Austintown, who died peacefully Monday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Don was born Sept. 25, 1931, in Youngstown, a son of Charles and Ann (Slifko) Bolchalk.
Donald was an Army Korean veteran stationed in Japan during the Korean War and had played baseball for the U.S. Army baseball team. He was a dedicated member of St. Joseph Church and had worked for the State of Ohio as a safety inspector for OSHA before retiring.
He is survived by two daughters, Diane (Tony) Buchanan of Greenville S.C. and Janet Bresnahan of Cincinnati; four sons, Donald S. of Austintown, Ray of Niles, Rich of North Jackson and John (Carol) of Kernersville, N.C.; a sister, Rozann Tennyson of Boston; two brothers, Charles (Florence) Bolchalk of Youngstown and Albert Bolchalk of Hubbard; his companion, Mary Morchak of Austintown; and seven grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ann G. (Fedyski); and four brothers, Fred, Ted, Edward Bolchalk and Leo Younkins.
Friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Austintown.
