POLAND - Donald E. Davis, 78, died Tuesday morning at the Hospice House.
Don was born April 30, 1931 in Youngstown to the late George and Doris Weaver Davis.
Don graduated from South High School. He retired from Truscon Steel, where he worked for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was stationed in Hawaii and Europe attaining the rank of Corporal.
He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in several leagues. Don enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a fan of The Ohio State University Buckeye's and a member of VFW Post 8841, and the Eagles Aerie 3298 in Austintown.
Don loved to travel to Las Vegas before his companion, Delores, died. They made many trips, and shared many memories.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bud" Davis, and sisters, Helen Summerville and Virginia Labus. He was also preceded by his devoted companion of over 20 years, Delores Frost.
He is survived by a sister, Margaret Fowler of Austintown, brother Ralph Louise Davis of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Audrey Davis of Phoenix; his children, Kelly Ron Dunagan of Atlanta, Susan Larry Kennedy of Atlanta, Jack Nanette Frost Jr. of Marlborough, Conn. and Patrick Sandra Frost of Poland; grandchildren, Sydney and Emily Frost and Hannah and Halle Dunagan; and many nieces and nephews.
No funeral services are scheduled.
