CANFIELD- Prayers will begin Wednesday morning at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church for Donald P. Restle, 48, who died Saturday evening.
Don was born March 24, 1965, in Youngstown, the son of Donald and Leslie Restle.
He was a 1983 graduate of Boardman High School. After graduation, he began a long career in the building trades, eventually becoming the owner and president of Restle Builders 20 years ago, building many custom homes in the area. Don loved his job, which was evident in the pride he took in his work. He was a member of St. Charles Church and its St. Vincent DePaul Society.
He had a passion and talent for music, especially the drums and loved summer boating and spending time of Lake Berlin. Most of all Don loved spending time with his family. His two sons were his pride and joy. He was always a dedicated, hands on father and husband.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, the former Kelly Sullivan; his two sons, Donald and Dylan Restle; four sisters, Madonna (Paul) Holko, Louise Naples, Suzanne (Buddy) Schreiber and Jamie (John) Kovach; his mother-in-law, Marlane Chandler; sister-in-law, Marla Sullivan; brother-in-law, John Sullivan; and many nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donation to the St. Vincent DePaul Society in Don's memory.
