POLAND - Prayers will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Donald A. White, 81, who passed away early Wednesday morning.
Donald was born April 12, 1931, in Youngstown, a son of the late Nicholas and Mary Williams White.
For many years Donald was the manager of the Moo Shop, a popular north side restaurant in the fifties and sixties. Later, he was an instructor in cooking and restaurant management at Choffin Career Center.
Donald loved gardening and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with his family and friends. He was a member of the Holy Family Church.
Donald leaves his wife, the former Lenore Tamburro, whom he married Nov. 25, 1965; a brother, Anthony "Tom" White of Poland; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Louise Armini of Naples, Fla. and two brothers, Henry and Richard White.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
