AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Thursday at noon at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Doris Niles, 85, who died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
Doris was born March 2, 1931, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Marie (Strednak) Buday.
She was a graduate of Wilson High School and was a homemaker who dedicated her life taking care of her family.
Doris was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, and a member of the Sewing Circle. She enjoyed playing Bingo and crocheting in her spare time. Most of all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Her husband, John Niles, whom she married July 7, 1956, died Sept. 30, 1983.
Doris is survived by her sister, Loretta Wiles of Cleveland; brothers Robert Buday of Boardman and John (Rosalie) Buday of Poland; grandchildren Jennifer (Jeremy) Cavender, Kristin (Kevin) Nelder, Betsy (Shane) Hardy, Steven Niles, and Patrick Niles; five great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Thereasa, Tina, Isabella and Zachariah; and a son-in-law, Robert Clark of Berlin Center.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter Jacqueline Clark; sons Frederick and Ronald Niles; sister Marie Gedra; and brothers Matthew, Frank and Edwin Buday.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
