Doris Ondrey

STRUTHERS - Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel for Doris A. Ondrey, 76, who passed away Sunday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.

Doris was born Dec. 12, 1941, in Oceana, W.Va., a daughter of the late Oza and Bessie (Justice) Mullens.

Throughout Doris's life, she was a waitress and bartender at numerous area establishments. She also did housekeeping for many homes.

Doris enjoyed reading and gardening. She had a passion for flowers and always looked forward to spring and putting up her hummingbird feeder.

Her husband, John Ondrey Jr., whom she married Sept. 30, 1968, passed away May 23, 1992.

Doris leaves her son, Michael (Charlene) Ondrey of Boardman; four grandchildren, Michelle Ondrey, Aaron "AJ" (Sarah) Ondrey, Brittany (Jon) Ondrey-Moore, and Brianna Ondrey; a great-grandchild, Jordan; a sister, Carrie Blum of Poland; a brother, Leleland Mullens of West Virginia; and many other siblings.

Doris was also preceded by her son, Eddie Ondrey and her siblings.

Family and friends may call Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
