Dorothy Arquilla

Canfield- A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 27th at St. Luke's Church with Fr. Joseph Fata celebrant. Prayers will be offered at 9:15 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Dorothy Arquilla, age 82 of Canfield who passed away Sunday morning at her residence.

Dorothy touched many lives and will always be remembered as a fun loving, kind and generous person. She was not only a loving mother to her daughter they were also best friends.

Dorothy was born in Canfield on July 13, 1926 to the late Mike and Susan Sproch Raykovich.

She was a graduate of Canfield High School, class of 1938; she also attended Youngstown State University.

Dorothy was an Administrative Assistant with the City of Youngstown in the Department of Public Works for over 30 years. She then moved to the Mahoning County Engineers Department until her retirement in 2002.

Dorothy married Vincent P. Arquilla on April 25, 1953, who passed away on Nov 6, 1995.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Renee and Rod Romeo of Canfield; her sisters, Mildred Vlajkovich of Canfield, Marian Nicholson of Warren, Julia Kornokovich of Peach Tree City, Georgia, and Martha Mesaros of Campbell.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Ruby Booth, Madeline Maguire, Irene Babik, Lydia Balciar, Paul Kamoda, and Albert Zlenka.

She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched including the family dog "cuddles".

Friends may call Friday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.

Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
