Youngstown. . . Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown and the mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church, Austintown for Dorothy A. DiNunzio age 81 who died Wednesday evening at Briarfield Manor Assisted Living.
She is now at peace and reunited with her husband Carl W. DiNunzio whom she married Sept. 4, 1941 and died July 6, 1999.
Dorothy was born on Feb. 18, 1924 in Youngstown and was the daughter of the late Edward and Madeline Phillips.
Along with being a homemaker, she was a member of St. Christine Church and had worked at the Maronite Center in Youngstown. She took great pride in her grandchildren and she enjoyed her great - grandchildren immensely. She was loving known as Grandma DoDo.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her, especially her daughters Judith A. Rozzi and son- in- law Peter J. Rozzi, Sr., Karen L. Haase and son-in-law Kim K. Haase all of Austintown, a sister Marilyn Futkos and brother -in- law George of Willowick, Ohio, 2 brothers Edward Phillips and sister-in-law Aggie of Austintown and James Phillips and sister-in- law Sandra of Ravenna and grandchildren Peter J. Rozzi, Jr., his wife Toni, Anthony Rozzi and his wife Cathy, Gina Rozzi Scott, Kimberly Haase Carnahan, Kevin Haase and his wife Amanda and Kelly Haase and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Ruth Vandervort.
