She was one of the founding members of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Austintown Fire Department, where her husband was a fireman and Chief Communications Officer for Austintown Police and Fire.

Dorothy was very proud of her Irish heritage and never missed a St. Patrick’s Day celebration.

Dorothy married Clyde H. George on June 17, 1944, and he died on Oct. 4, 2005.

She leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, C. Thomas George of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Donald P.
