Dorothy Louise Stacy

She was born in Youngstown, June 3, 1948, to the late Hugh Edwin Stacy and Helen Yerian Stacy Vogelsang.

Dorothy was a 1966 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in addition to a bachelor’s degree in medical technology from Augustana College. She embarked on a fulfilling career that led her to North Side Hospital and Forum Health, where she served diligently as a medical technologist.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dorothy will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her two sisters, Nancy Stacy Kissel and Marjorie Stacy Pelc; two nephews, Edward (Barb) Stacy and James (Lisa) Pelc; two nieces, Cheryl (Justin) DeFonte and Eleanor Pelc; three grandnephews, Wyatt DeFonte, Jason Pelc and Dylan Ross; and three grandnieces, Hannah Ross, Elissa and Sarah Pelc.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, Hugh (Laura) Stacy Jr.

Calling hours to honor and remember Dorothy’s life will be held 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, 2726 Center Road.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2024, at the funeral home. Additional calling hours will be held 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
