Dorothy Strawn

AUSTINTOWN - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. for Dorothy (Klein) Strawn, 81, who died Saturday afternoon at her home.

Dorothy was born Nov. 30, 1932, in Youngstown, the daughter of Alois and Margaret (Demechko) Klein.

She was a 1950 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and had worked in the clerical department of the transportation industry before retiring.

Her husband, Harry J. Strawn, whom she married Jan. 25, 1965, died Feb. 7, 1977.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Johnston of Austintown; grandchildren, Zachary (Arin) Steiner, Wesley Steiner, Andrea (Ray) Coates, and Jeffrey (Andrea) Steiner; and great-grandchildren, Cole Johnston, Klein Marie, Benjamin, Lydia, Aaron, Alexa, Avrey, Anistyn, and Grayson.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Kovach, Mary Uhrin and Cecelia Jenkins; and son-in-law, Mike Johnston.

Friends may call Tuesday for one hour, prior to services at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to fulfill Dorothy's Generations of Giving pledge at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 4490 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, OH 44515, or the Emmanuel Center 2 N. State St., Girard, OH 44420, in Dorothy's memory.
