Douglas Kady

STRUTHERS ­ There will be services Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the
Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Poland Chapel and at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church, for Douglas J. Kady, 58, formerly of 8th Street, who passed away Thursday at his home surrounded by family and friends.

Doug was born Dec. 7, 1947 in Youngstown, a son of Walter J. and Irene Simon
Kady.

He was a 1965 graduate of Poland High School. He served in the Army from 1971 to 1973. Doug belonged to Bricklayer¹s Local No. 8 and was a very talented bricklayer. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the north side branch as a window clerk for 23 years and was a member of the APWU Local No. 443. He was an avid golfer and bowler. He was a member of the Elmton Golf League and Charlie¹s Bowling League at Holiday Bowl. He was very proud of his 300 game, close calls and holes-in-one. Doug and Rich won many a scrambles together.

Doug is survived by his daughter, Alana Kady, and former wife, Diane
Quattro Kady, with whom he made his home in Struthers; his mother, Irene Kady of Poland; a sister, Sandy Nick DiMargio of Poland; a brother, Richard Natalie Kady of New Middletown; a nephew, Josh Kady; a niece, Olivia Brian Lydon; and a great-niece, Keira Elizabeth Lydon.

He was preceded in death by his father, Walter J. Kady.

³Doug always had a smile, made us all laugh and will be deeply missed.²
