POLAND - Prayers will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church for Dr. Angelo DelliQuadri, 86, who passed away Monday afternoon at Masternick Memorial.
Angelo was born Sept. 17, 1927, in Youngstown, a son of the late Carmine and Adelina (Fossaceca) DelliQuadri.
Angelo graduated from South High School, Youngstown University and the National College of Chiropractic in Chicago. He was a naval coreman attached to the Marines in World War II. He re-enlisted in the Korean conflict in which he continued his capacity as a coreman.
Angelo was a practicing chiropractic physician in Girard for 50 years. He enjoyed being a football team physician for Chaney High School, Hubbard, Girard and Jackson Milton over his 50 year period. Angelo mentored and inspired many future chiropractors in Ohio. He was a noted lecturer in his field.
Angelo and his wife enjoyed traveling extensively in the United States and Europe, as well as the Islands. He was also a football recruiter for Miami University of Ohio.
Angelo leaves his wife, the former Mary Allar, whom he married Dec. 11, 1950; three sons, Dr. David (Mary Kay) DelliQuadri of Poland, Dr. John (Cathy) DelliQuadri of Liberty, and Tom (Pam) DelliQuadri of Columbus; his daughter, Ann (Larry) Canale of Columbiana; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Antoinette Lipari of Canfield.
Angelo was also preceded in death by a son, Dr. Daniel DelliQuadri and a brother, Dr. Carmine DelliQuadri.
Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Entombment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
