WARREN- Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Dr. Ranjit Kaur Khanuja,our precious mother, wife, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born October 10, 1943 and enjoyed nearly 70 years of life. She was a doctor to many patients, a friend to many people, and the light of our family.
She was raised in India where she graduated from medical school and married Dr. KartarSingh Khanuja. They moved to the United States in1970 where she completed her residency in Pathology and Internal Medicine in Cleveland and Youngstown. They moved to Warren in 1975 where she began her private practice in Internal Medicine. She is the adored mother of Dr. Ashoo Khanuja(Vinson), Gulshan Kaur, and Shereen Kaur; beloved grandmother of Kartar, Kara, and Chloe; and dear sister to NarinderSingh (Rajinder Kaur) of Cortland and Harbans Kaur (InderpalSingh)of India.
Dr. Khanuja enjoyed traveling to new places and admiring the beauty of the scenery and culture. She was a constant companion and confidant to her family and friends, shown most by her untiring devotion to helping others. She maximized every day of her life and showed limitless caring and generosity. She is our symbol of unwavering, pure happiness. She will continue to be reflected in our souls and will be remembered with the love she gave to all of us.
A final service will be held on Saturday July 27th, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Richfield Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) 4220 Broadview Rd. Richfield, Ohio 44286 (330) 659-3748.
