NORTH LIMA - It is with great sadness that the family of Duane E. Reichard announces his sudden passing on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at the age of 46.
Duane was born April 14, 1978 in Youngstown, a son of the late James E. Reichard and Becky L. Lancaster Reichard.
Duane was a 1996 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School. He then continued his education at Youngstown State University where he received a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and then a Master's degree from University of Akron in Mechanical Engineering.
He and his brother Keith own Reichard Industries, a local steel mill service and supply company. Duane's true passion was spending quality time with his children which included weekend trips to Cedar Point, skiing, concerts, riding 4-wheelers, shooting etc. He was also an avid farmer, boater, and hunter. Duane was fiercely loyal to his children and all who loved him.
Duane will be lovingly remembered by his young children who were the love of his life, Alexia (10) and Benson (9); his brothers, Keith (Sarah) of Canfield and Kevin of Austintown; sisters, Janice (Mark) Siegmundt of Orlando, FL and Paula (Rusty) Hoffman of PA; many aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he loved dearly; and finally his cat, Leo.
Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday from 4 to 7 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel, 3701 Starr's Centre Drive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10 AM at St. Charles Church, 7345 Westview Drive.
Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Lowellville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Our Savior, St. Nicholas Church, 764 Fifth Street, Struthers, Ohio 44471.
