AUSTINTOWN - Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Edward R. Amicone Jr., 47, who passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 10, 2016, at his home.
"Eddie" was born June 23, 1968, in Youngstown, a son of Edward R. and Maria B. (Smith) Amicone Sr.
Eddie was a 1986 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He was a tow motor driver in the fabricating plant at GM and was a member of the UAW No. 1714. He loved cars and was a motorcross enthusiast. His capacity to love was seen in the many pets he himself rescued. Eddie was larger than life, he had an amazing personality and a huge heart. His ability to make others laugh and most of all, his smile will be greatly missed.
Eddie leaves behind his love of 27 years, Christine Duvall; his mother, Maria B. Amicone of Boardman; a sister, Michelle M. Amicone of Boardman; a brother, Raymond Zebosky of Austintown; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins and friends.
Eddie was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Margaret and John Smith; his maternal aunt, Laverne "Meme" E. Wildish; his maternal uncle, John "Dodo" J. Smith; and many of his beloved pets.
Friends and family may call Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes may take the form of donations to Legacy Dog Rescue or Falcon Pet Rescue.
