BOARDMAN - Edward Michael Brennan III affectionately known as "Papa" to his grandchildren and great grandchild, passed away September 7, 2024 surrounded by his loving family.

Ed was born January 9, 1934, Youngstown, Ohio to Edward and Mary (Victor) Brennan.

Church in Youngstown. He was a social member of the Croatian Club for many years.

Ed was an avid Notre Dame and Cleveland Browns fan his entire life. He cheered them on through thick and thin.

He enjoyed Bowling, golfing, boating at Berlin Lake and Lake Erie, going to the casinos,

horse-racing tracks, and traveling. Many trips to Hollywood, Florida, Las Vegas, North Carolina, as well as Ireland and Italy.

Ed is survived by his wife Eleanor (Zorella) who he married on February 19, 1955. They shared 69 years together. His children Terri (George) Luke and Shari (Todd) Harmon.  After retiring from the bakery Ed spent much of his time attending all the sporting events of Scott and Matt. Papa never missed a game or an event that included his grandsons. He was always willing to help out at McCune Park as an umpire or cheer from the sidelines. He spent the summers officiating backyard baseball, football, swimming, fort building, paint ball, and whatever the boys got him involved in. It was there that he sharing words of wisdom and teaching valuable life lessons in a way that only Papa could do. Mark was a swimmer and played the drums in the Appalachian`State University Band.

A private service was held on September 11, 2024 per Ed's wishes.

The loss of a father is a heavy burden to bear. He's a source of quiet strength that is so missed when he's not there. Take comfort he's in Heaven and looking down at you. He'll be there through the coming years, watching over and guiding you. He's your very own guardian angel and he'll be with you to the end when you meet again in Heaven and your broken heart will finally mend.

Professional arrangements were handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman - Canfield Chapel.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Heartland Hospice Staff. Especially Britney Ross and Chelsey Hall. They both went above and beyond to offer such special care and compassion. Their efforts will be remembered forever.
