Boardman - Services will be Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Poland Chapel and at 9:00 AM at St. Charles Church for Edward J, Craven age 72, who passed away early Wednesday morning at his home.
Edward was born September 20, 1933, in Buffalo, NY the son of John and Katherine McDermott Craven.
Edward was a graduate of South Park High School in Buffalo, NY. Edward served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He had worked for Koppers Company in Youngstown as a general foreman for 39 years, later retiring in 1987. Ed was a member of the VFW in Transfer, PA., was a Little League Coach for over 10 years in New Jersey, enjoyed gardening and was an avid Steelers fan.
Edward is survived by his wife the former Donna Marshall whom he married August 27, 1955,; two daughters Karen Laskey of Cherryville, N.C. and Ann Marie Billock Steven of Boardman; three sons Edward Jr. Allison of Toms River, N.J., Michael Lynn of Monroe Twp., N.J., and Thomas Linda of Aberdeen, N.J; a brother Joseph Craven of West Seneca, NY; and thirteen grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Edward is preceded in death by a sister Aileen Daly and two brothers John and Francis Craven.
