CANFIELD - Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Boardman-Canfield Chapel for Edward Maguire, 85, who died Monday morning at Hospice House.
Edward was born July 26, 1931, in Youngstown, the son of Reginald and Una (Simon) Maguire.
He was a master mechanic who owned service stations, an equipment dealership and air compressor business.
Edward was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the Canfield Conservation Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3298.
Edward enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, fishing and hunting.
His wife, the former Madeline Raykovich, whom he married Dec. 30, 1950, died in July of 2001.
Edward is survived by his son, Randall Maguire of Simi Valley, Calif.; daughter-in-law Susie Maguire; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Tyler and Brandon Maguire.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; son Gary Maguire; sister Audrey Weaver; brother Reginald Maguire Jr.; daughter-in-law Christy Maguire; and granddaughter Tara Maguire.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
