Edwin Renz

YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Edwin P. Renz, 93, who passed away Sunday morning at Hospice House.

Edwin was born June 25, 1918, in Youngstown, the son of Paul and Matha Kroll Renz.

Edwin graduated from Chaney High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II Seabees in the South Pacific. He was a plumber and a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local No. 87 for 65 years. He was also a member of the Austintown Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, the Sulgrave Masonic Lodge No. 696 for 70 years, the Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown and the Aut Mori Grotto and Aut Mori Veterans Unit.

Edwin was preceded in death by his wife, June Price of 62 years; his parents; a daughter, Jacquelyn; and a sister, Virginia.

Edwin leaves his son, William P. Felina Renz of Austintown; a son-in-law, Michael Vadas of Austintown; four grandchildren, Brian Renz, Michael Judy Vadas, William Stephanie Vadas and Kimberly James Stehura; and eight great grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail, Mason, Andrew, Emily, Meghan, Ian and Aaron.

Family and friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Masonic service will be held at the conclusion of the calling hours.
