Eleanor Hawkins

August 19, 1944 — February 8, 2024

NORTH JACKSON - Eleanor J. Hawkins, 79, died peacefully Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Eleanor was born August 19, 1944, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Ward and Mary Williams Akins.

She was a graduate of Jackson Milton High School and primarily was a homemaker. Eleanor also sold Avon for many years.

Together with her husband, Eleanor enjoyed attending Bluegrass festivals often.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Patricia Hawkins of Cortland and John T. Hawkins of Niles; and her grandson Nathan Hawkins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Hawkins, whom she married Nov. 29, 1975 and died Aug. 30, 2022; and her brother Ward Akins.

Family and friends will gather for a graveside service Monday, February 12, 2024 at 1:30 pm at North Jackson Cemetery.

Professional arrangements are being handled by the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Jackson-Milton Chapel.
