Eleanor Leach

February 18, 1925 — September 23, 2006

YOUNGSTOWN-Services will be Wednesday at at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, and at at Holy Name of Jesus Church for Eleanor M. Leach age 81 of Youngstown who passed away Saturday evening at Humility House.

Eleanore was born February 18, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Sophia Bailey Magda.

She was a homemaker, a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church, and the Slovak Catholic Sokols Wreath # 132.

Her husband Samuel R. Leach whom she married November 16, 1944, died April 30, 1978.

She is survived by six daughters, Mary E. Nick Kitchokoff of Youngstown, Roberta Koval of Youngstown, Diane M. Paul Matula of Austintown, Loretta S. LoGiudice of Boardman, Bonita S. Donald Thomas of Boardman, and Annette M. Leach of Columbiana, a son John R. Diann Leach of Hubbard, three sisters, Dorothy William Skebo of Boardman, Elizabeth Onderko of Youngstown, and Catherine James Meyers of Austintown, twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister Margaret Kos, a brother Cyril S. Magda, and a great-granddaughter, Lynette Hardman.

Friends may call from 5 PM to 8 PM Tuesday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.

The family has requested that material tributes take the form of donations to Hospice of the Valley in Eleanore's memory.
