YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, at noon at Calvary Cemetery?s Chapel for Eleanor M. Rigby, 82, who passed away Wednesday at Omni Manor.
Eleanor was born May 29, 1928, in Youngstown, the daughter of Norman and Eleanor Weisberger Herceg.
Eleanor was a graduate of Wilson High School. She worked for Ryan Services for 27 years and then for Plaza Donuts in Cornersburg.
She was a lifetime member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She was a bingo lover, enjoyed boating and camping and she was a fan of the Cleveland Indians.
Her husband, Thomas F. Rigby Sr., whom she married Nov. 2, 1946, passed away July 19, 1996.
Eleanor leaves her two daughters, Diane Scheiben of Alliance and Cheryl Ziegler-Vinion Youngstown; three sons, Thomas F. Lynn Rigby Jr. of Sarasota, Fla., Glen Rigby of Mesa, Ariz. and Richard Rigby of Austintown; two sisters, Elizabeth Melia of Poland and Edna Dudek of Calcutta; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Louise Gorgei; and two brothers, Norman and Harold Herceg.
Arrangements are being handled by Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, material tributes can take the form of donations to a memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
