AUSTINTOWN - Prayers will begin Friday at 9:15 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Elizabeth "Betty" Rose Baker, 92, who died Monday afternoon at Humility House, surrounded by her family.
Betty was born May 5, 1923, in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph C. and Elizabeth (Crotty) Amann Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Roy) Rishel of McDonald; son Jack (Diane) Conrad Jr. of Austintown; five grandchildren, Kelley (Dave) Quigley, Kristy (Dom) Altier, Kami Conrad, Justin (Jessica) Conrad, and Erin (Greg) Urban; and 12 great-grandchildren, Annaliese, Adalyn, Jack, Ty, Lily, Max, Caleb, Michael, James, Audrey, Levi and Emery.
Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Conrad Sr., whom she married Nov. 25, 1943, and died Feb. 9, 1951; her second husband, George C. Baker, whom she married Aug. 28, 1954, and died June 27, 1983; her sister, Kaye Eckenrode; and brother Joseph C. Amann Jr.
Family and friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
